March is just around the corner, and there’s so much to celebrate this month in Downtown Dayton! From warmer weather to high school and college basketball to St. Patrick’s Day, you’ll find fun all month long throughout downtown. Kick off all your pre-spring celebrations during First Friday on Friday, March 6, 2026!
ART, DANCE, MUSIC, AND FILM

The Contemporary Dayton, 25 W. Fourth St.: See March’s Member’s Spotlight Exhibition featuring Dayton based artist, Elisha Frontz. Free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on First Friday.
Dayton Art Institute, 456 Belmonte Park North: Visit the latest special exhibitions, “Engaged: Rings from Around the World,” “Tony Foster, Exploring Time: A Painter’s Perspective,” and “Exploring Feminism.” Open until 5 p.m. on Friday.
Dayton Live, Victoria Theatre, 138 N. Main St.: DRUM TAO explodes on stage with a captivating performance full of flash and fire! Renowned for powerful and athletic drumming, their newest show, THE BEST, blends traditional “Wadaiko” (Japanese drums) with modern energy and theatrical flair. Show begins at 7:30 p.m. on March 6. Dayton Society of Artists, 48 High St.: The Dayton Society of Artists invites you to “A Living Legacy: The Dayton Society of Artists Permanent Collection.” This exhibition brings together foundational works by charter members and past presidents, offering a rare and meaningful look at the artistic lineage of the Miami Valley.

Edward A. Dixon Gallery, 222 N. St. Clair St.: RESILIENCE is on display at the gallery until March 15. This Black History Month exhibition features several local artists ranging from a university student to 30-year career artists.
Front Street, 1001 E. Second St.: Twice a month our artists and artisans join together and invite you to hop around Dayton's largest community of artists.
