What are stock images and where can I find free images?
Stock images are photographs or illustrations that are available for purchase and licensing, either through subscriptions or credit packs. Note, some websites offer free stock images, while "royalty-free" images often still have a cost. Regardless of the service or subscription you choose for stock images, familiarize yourself with their specific licensing terms as licenses which may restrict how you can use them. Reputable stock sites include bigstockphoto.com, stock.adobe.com, istockphoto.com, and shutterstock.com. For completely "free" stock images, we recommend you Google for options and research the site you choose. However, be aware that "free" may still carry a risk.
