As a general rule, we only approve businesses or events located within the Greater Dayton area. We define this as being within a 35 mile radius from downtown Dayton.

How long does it take for a page to go live?
A human being will review every new submission in order to make sure the information we put out to the community is as accurate and helpful as possible. Expect this process to take 24-48 hours. Sometimes we are able to publish the same day, and occasionally it can be longer, it just depends on the queue. Updates to existing pages take priority over new business listings and new events, so you may find those are approved sooner.

How far in advance should I add an event?
The sooner you add the event, the more exposure it will get! We have many visitors will who search out things to do weeks, or even months ahead of time. We recommend adding events at least 2 weeks in advance, though the earlier the better. You can add events up to one year in advance, and the vast majority of event organizers for recurring activities (weekly, monthly etc), annual events such as festivals, and other major events take advantage of this.

I got a "500" error - what now?
First, see if you can hit the back button and try again. It could just be a temporary glitch and you might find resumitting the form will work the second time. Failing that, please contact us for help - and try to give us as much detail about what you were trying to do when the error occured.

How do I fix the error: "Cannot overwrite existing content"?
This error occurs when our website detects a duplicate entry because we already have your business or event listed. This is typically because it's a recurring or annual event. The good news is that you can simply update the out-of-date page. This has many advantages. By not reinventing the wheel, it saves you time. It also saves us time approving changes. Eliminating duplicate pages also means out-of-date information doesn't stick around, forever confusing our visitors. To update older events, look for the dropdown under your profile information. If you don't see it, contact us for help.
