Mr. Humongous, a volcano, is expected to erupt in 24 hours and will demolish Bikini Bottoms. Plankton and Mr. Krabs are up to no good, using the chaos in the town for their personal gain. It is up to SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy to save the town and the day. Will they do it? Will Bikini Bottom be saved or lost forever under volcanic lava? Stivers School for the Arts is the DPS magnet school for visual and performing arts. The SpongeBob musical is a collaborative of students and faculty from multiple magnets. Everything from designing of sets, lighting, sound, dance choreography, music accompaniment, singing and let's not forget acting is all done by the students directed by faculty who are masters of their discipline. It is truly a spectacular event!
