Winter Solstice Sunrise Celebration: Luminaria Walk, Bonfire and Prayers for Peace
We will observe the longest night of the year with prayers for world peace rooted in Pope Francis' World Day of Peace message with inspiration from diverse traditions. All are welcome. We'll process by candlelight and luminaria through the Marianist Nature Preserve woods to the Bro. Don Geiger Prairie for a bonfire at sunrise to welcome the Prince of Peace. Hot beverages and a light breakfast provided. Park in Lot C. Freewill offerings accepted.
