Juneteenth Troy Celebration June 20
Celebrate Juneteenth 2026 with music, games, and free food!
Join us for our 6th Annual Juneteenth Celebration!!! Our event starts with a community march led by the TRSS Drum Corp and the City of Troy Police Department. Assembly begins at 2:45 PM at the First Place Christian Center located at 16 W Franklin St, Troy, OH 45373. Park festivities begin at 3:30 PM at McKaig & Race Park located at 355 McKaig Ave, Troy, OH 45373 with free food, music, a game truck and vendor booths!
The celebration of Juneteenth marks the day that all slaves were liberated after the emancipation. The first year Juneteenth was celebrated was in 1866 three years after Abraham Lincoln signed the emancipation. This was due to the final slaves not being freed until 1866 in the state of Texas.
