Music became his savior during this dark period, leading to the creation of his extraordinary new album, Wake The Dead. Recorded with the band ¿Qiensave?, the album explores the world of Cumbia music, blending tradition with innovation and featuring elements of rock and roll, punk, surf, and soul. Now in full remission, Prophet continues his streak of critically acclaimed solo albums, earning praise from Rolling Stone to NPR, with his songs featured in films and TV shows, and covered by artists like Bruce Springsteen and Solomon Burke.
