Open free to the public, join us to learn why Springboro was considered Ohio's busiest stop on the Underground Railroad.

Springboro Historical Museum

Visit the Springboro Area Historical Society museum located in the heart of Historic Downtown Springboro.  The museum is housed in the oldest building in downtown Springboro, built in 1810.  Come learn about our humble Quaker beginnings and how their beliefs in equality made Springboro a safe haven for freedom seekers on their way to Canada.  Considered Ohio's busiest depot on the Underground Railroad, the Springboro area has 27 researched safe houses of which many are still standing.  Spend a leisurely afternoon learning more about our community's history before visiting our many unique shops and restaurants up and down S. Main Street.
