Hometown Heroes Celebration @ Fifth Third Field
The Dayton Dragons, in conjunction with the Dayton Development Coalition [DDC], annually host two "Hometown Heroes Celebration Nights" at Fifth Third Field.
The 2013 Celebration Nights are:

As part of the season-long celebration of the Hometown Heroes program, the DDC takes time to pay tribute to all service men and women associated with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the Springfield Air National Guard Base.
Festivities begin with military displays on the Fifth Third Field plaza at 6:00 p.m with the game start time of 7:00pm. Other Celebration Night activities include:
- Display of a giant American flag by children of local Airmen
- Release of white doves
- Wright-Patterson Honor Guard will present the colors
- Honoring of Airmen who recently returned from overseas duty. These Airmen were deployed from WPAFB around the world including Afghanistan and Iraq.
- Video greeting card from a deployed Airman to their family
- And so much more!
