Cityfolk Fundraiser at bd's Mongolian Grill

As you know, this summer brought record temperatures and extreme storms to the region on festival weekend. The devastation left by the storm on Friday left many households without power and forced Cityfolk to cancel the festival that night. Due to the cancellation and lower attendance through the weekend, Cityfolk did not receive enough revenue to cover the costs of producing the festival. In fact, the weather left us with a $100,000 loss in revenue. As a result, the Cityfolk staff has been cut back and we are sub-leasing office space to another nonprofit.

You may know that we are in the midst of a Post Festival Campaign to make up for this shortfall. Thanks to dedicated Festival volunteer Sunni Russo, we have partnered with bd’s Mongolian Grill in the Greene for a Cityfolk benefit fundraiser.

We hope you can join us for this tasty event! One ticket entitles you to a stir fry bowl, soup and salad, a non-alcoholic beverage, tax and tip. Cityfolk will receive $10 of the ticket price. Pre-sale of tickets will end at 3:30 on November 8. Click here for more details.
