A Not So Traditional Tradition: The 6th Annual Blue Beer Day at Milano's!

With St. Paddy's day getting closer, and kegs of green beer are being prepared to start flowing through the city of Dayton, there is one local establishment that is preparing for festivities that may not seem to be the most common of celebrations.

The Milano's staff is set to host their 6th Annual Blue Beer Day on March 7th, 2013 at the Brown St location.

This celebration is a unique experience that replaces the traditional green beer of our beloved holiday, with the color blue to represent the faithful Flyer spirit that runs heavy amongst patrons of the Brown St Milano's.

Blue Beer Day in DaytonFor the past 6 years, Blue Beer Day has resembled a celebration that helps condition the local party-goer with the consumption of oddly colored beer while also providing a friendly and exciting environment to enjoy A-10 tournament games.

Blue Beer Day has become an event that is enjoyed by not only students of the "Ghetto" but also many Dayton locals who love to have a good time for reasons that may not be so evident.

I have had the pleasure of being able to take part in Blue Beer Day each year of its young but established existence and every year this Milano's tradition has been better than the last.

The festivities begin first thing in the morning with a combination of blue pancakes and other breakfast favorites, washed down with the early tapping of one of the many kegs of Blue Beer that will be enjoyed throughout the day. Doors open at 7am.

The party continues all day with college hoops on the flat screens, a Quarters Tournament, and ends with the biggest dance party of the week starting at 9pm. The dance music will be provided by myself and DaytonRocks.com.

I recommend coming to experience this "Not So Traditional Tradition" on Brown St, but be sure to show up wearing your Blue and don't forget to stop by the DJ booth to say hi and request your favorite dance song.
