The Breakfast Club presented by The Playground Theatre
The Playground Theatre is proud to present their very first production, a staged adaptation of the 1980's John Hughes film, The Breakfast Club! So come celebrate the holidays with A Brain, An Athlete, A Basket Case, A Princess and A Criminal! Don't you forget about this awesome Dayton premiere!
Synopsis
The Breakfast Club begins bright and early on a chilly March morning at Shermer High school in 1984, as five high school teenagers prepare for a day of Saturday detention. Each of the five students embodies a typical high school stereotype—The Brain, the Athlete, The Basket Case, The Princess, and The Criminal—seemingly having nothing in common. But as the day progresses, the characters begin to bare their souls and trust one another until they ultimately learn that they might not be so different after all.
