Shakespeare in South Park presents Love’s Labour’s Lost

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark: Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, struggling with the news that his uncle murdered his father (the former king), usurped the throne, and married his mother, sets up a plot to expose his uncle's guilt.  Meanwhile, his relationship with his girlfriend, Ophelia, disintegrates in tandem with his own sanity. This production of Shakespeare's revenge tragedy finds Hamlet in a future post-apocalypse world where Denmark and Norway war for lands and resources. “This time is out of joint; oh, cursed spite that ever I was born to set it right.”
