Wright Library to Host Free, Interactive Program on Artificial Intelligence

Curious about how artificial intelligence (AI) is shaping the world around us? Wright Memorial Public Library invites the community to a free, interactive presentation designed to demystify AI and explore how it can be used safely, ethically, and effectively on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. Registration is requested at wrightlibrary.org/calendar. Wright Library’s Community Room seating capacity is 80, so please make a reservation early to ensure your seat.

Zach Katris, Senior Learning Strategist from Dignified Learning, will lead the session. A former public school teacher and principal with more than a decade of experience in instructional design, project management, and leadership, Katris will discuss: 

• How AI appears in everyday life
• Core concepts and terminology explained simply
• Tools for different tasks and audiences
• Safe and ethical AI practices
• Resources to continue learning about AI

A frequent conference presenter and panelist, Katris has led workshops and trainings on AI literacy, digital workflows, and instructional design for schools, nonprofits, and business teams. He is passionate about making complex ideas approachable and helping people use technology responsibly to enhance learning and work.

This program is open to community members of all ages and backgrounds; no prior technical experience is required.
