Free outdoor concerts at Stubbs Park Amphitheater in Centerville

Concerts are held at the Stubbs Park Amphitheater, 255 W. Spring Valley Road.  All concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. and are free to the public. Food trucks and concessions will be available at all shows. ASL interpretation is provided by Miami Valley Interpreters, LLC.

Returning to Stubbs Park in 2023 are fan favorites Hotel California, Simply Queen, The Fries Band and Elton Rohn. A special Friday night performance from Centerville Pops! will bring the music of Star Wars, Lost in Space and other sci-fi films to the Stubbs Park Amphitheater with The Sci-Fi Experience.

New in 2023 will be exclusive giveaways nights on select concert dates. 

The amphitheater offers lawn seating only, so bring your blanket or chairs!  All concerts are free and open to the public.

JUNE 4: Practically Petty

Tom Petty Tribute Band, Practically Petty has been mesmerizing audiences since 2009. Every performance is true to the spirit and essence of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. 
The group also prides itself on using the same equipment as the Heartbreakers so as not to leave any stone unturned. 
Their extensive song catalog includes all of Petty’s hits with the Heartbreakers as well as his solo work and other side projects like The Traveling Wilburys.

JUNE 11: The Rock Show: A Tribute to Journey

The Rock Show: The Ultimate Tribute to Journey must be seen and heard to be believed. The Rock Show will take you back to the days when Journey topped the charts playing all your favorite hits. When the band takes the Stubbs Park stage, you will see and hear why fans all over the nation are raving about their Journey experience as Tommy K’s remarkable ‘Perryesque’ vocal performance will leave you amazed it is not Steve Perry himself. Michael Hawkes (guitars/vocals), Levi Goodwin (bass/vocals) and Chris Bartnikowski (drums/vocals) round out the Journey Tribute. If you want the closest to the real deal, The Rock Show: Ultimate Tribute to Journey is the show for you.

JUNE 18: Hotel California

The Eagles scored seven Number One singles, six Grammys, five American Music Awards and six Number One albums. It is one of the world’s bestselling bands of all time… selling 150 million records. You’ll hear all these hits, remarkably replicated, in this spectacular show. Hotel California is the premier tribute to the Eagles and arguably the most popular in the world! The members of Hotel California are huge fans of the Eagles and feel privileged to perform from such an extensive body of amazing work. The Eagles are truly master craftsmen of music.

JUNE 25: Motown Sounds of Touch

These are four entertaining men from Dayton, the same city that gave the music world The Ohio Players, Heatwave, Shirley Murdock, Slave, Lakeside, Zapp, Roger Troutman, Platypus and Faze-O. The Motown Sounds of Touch is the premier ‘old school’ and Motown sound tribute band in the land. The Motown Sounds of Touch has been entertaining and delighting audiences all over the country for over 15 years. Their energetic dance performances and engaging personalities have brought many audiences to their feet. Millions of viewers saw Touch perform and become a top-3 finalist on the NBC TV show “The Winner Is” hosted by Nick Lachey.

JULY 2: Landslide

Landslide knows how to hold the crowd as they perform the hits of Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac formed in 1967 and has remained a dominant commercial force. The eponymous Fleetwood Mac album was a huge hit in 1975, reaching Number One in the US and selling more than 5 million copies. Among the hit singles were "Over My Head", "Say You Love Me", "Rhiannon" and "Landslide.” By 2000, Fleetwood Mac had sold more than 100 million copies of its albums — including 25 million for Rumours alone — making it one of the most popular rock bands in history.

JULY 3: Centerville Community Band’s Americana Concert

Celebrate America’s Independence with the Centerville Community Band’s annual Americana Concert.  Featuring patriotic music and the cannons of Fifth Ohio Light Artillery, it’s the perfect way to kick off the Americana Festival in Warm & Cheerful Centerville. The CCB is under the direction of Tom Pfrogner with assistant director Denny Dutcher. The CCB is a non-profit organization, rehearses each Tuesday evening and is accepting instrumentation for some sections. JULY 9: Simply Queen

Simply Queen is back at Stubbs Park after setting an attendance record for the Summer Concert Series in 2022. This live tribute performs all the iconic songs that made Queen one of the most legendary rock bands of all time and faithfully recreates the grand scope of Queen’s live shows – musically and visually capturing the amazing live Queen experience that has filled stadiums around the world. The band is fronted by Freddie Mercury impersonator extraordinaire Rick Rock (vocal/piano/guitar), CC Lambrick (guitar/keyboards/vocal), Mitch Taylor (bass/vocal) and Phil Charrette (drums/vocals). They are veteran musicians who have performed in festivals, theatres and arenas across North America and beyond!

JULY 16: Boys in the Band

In 1969 three cousins in Fort Payne, Alabama, joined their talents to create Down Home country music.  Young Country became Wild Country, who played for seven years as the house band in Myrtle Beach, SC, beachside bar The Bowery. There they would change their name to Alabama, hit it big with their first number one record "Tennessee River," and the rest is history. Boys in the Band also hail from Fort Payne, Alabama and aim to give the Alabama experience to lifelong fans and introduce the younger generations to the magic of Alabama's timeless music. The Alabama Tribute show is a high energy show with note-for-note renditions of Alabama's live performances over its fifty-year reign as the greatest country music group of all time. There will never be another Alabama, but Boys in the Band aims to keep sharing the music and showmanship made famous by their small town heroes.

JULY 23: Elton Rohn

Elton Rohn is thrilling audiences everywhere. Hailing from Toronto, Canada the band has headlined more than 350 theatres and festival shows in North America all the way from Las Vegas to Atlantic City, California, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, Myrtle Beach, Pennsylvania, across Michigan and upstate New York and all across Canada.  Audiences are amazed at just how close this show sounds to the real Elton John. As Elton, Ron Camilleri brings the vocal, the piano, the look and the feel of the real Elton John performance. You’ll feel like you are watching the real Elton John. The passion, energy and those incredible vocals are there plus the harmonies. Performed live (no tracks), the band is the closest you’ll get to the real 70’s Elton sound.

JULY 28: Centerville POPS! Presents The Sci-Fi Experience

The Centerville Community Band and the Centerville Pops Strings invite you to bring your family and experience music, characters and special guests from Lost in Space, Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, The Day the Earth Stood Still, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Back to the Future and more! The CCB is under the direction of Tom Pfrogner, with assistant director Denny Dutcher. The CCB is a non-profit organization, rehearses each Tuesday evening, and is accepting instrumentation for some sections. JULY 30: The Fries Band

The Fries Band and its trio A Side of Fries has become known as the premier vocal band in the Dayton area. They focus on very tight three-, four- and five-part vocal harmonies primarily driven by acoustic guitars with keyboard, bass and drums. The Fries Band is no strangers to the Stubbs Park stage, performing yearly for thousands of Centerville residents each summer.

AUGUST 6: Creedence Revived

Creedence Revived has rapidly become one of the most highly-sought-after tribute bands in the world.  Playing all over the globe for crowds upwards of 30,000, and with a track record of selling out shows everywhere they go, this group is the real deal. The group is made up of four of Chicago and Los Angeles’ most talented and eclectic musicians – consisting of an award winning vocalist nicknamed “The Chameleon” in the industry for his unique ability to shift his vocal to match the style of any vocalist, a world-renowned blues guitarist who attracts blues fans from around the world, a studio bassist who has a appeared on many top charting albums and a drummer who sells out theaters on his own based solely on his unique playing style. Representing America across the globe, Creedence Revived has toured Europe and Malaysia.

AUGUST 13: Beatlemania Magic

Beatlemania Magic: A Tribute to the Beatles recreates the magic of Beatlemania. This is a national touring Beatles tribute band recreating the early Beatles concerts with identical costumes, equipment and spot-on harmonies. Songs from “I Want to Hold Your Hand” to “I’m Down” played using Vox amps and Gretsch, Hofner & Rickenbacker guitars made famous by the Beatles. The look and sound are uncanny. Beatlemania Magic also recreates the Magical Mystery Tour of Sgt. Pepper, White Album, Let It Be and Abbey Road. If you missed them in 1964, you must see Beatlemania Magic: A Tribute to the Beatles today and relive the magic.

AUGUST 20: Hillbilly Rockstarz

The musicians in Hillbilly Rockstarz grew up with the love of country and rock n' roll music. Each member brings a unique musical aesthetic to the band. Over the years they have grown comfortable mixing it up. Adding genres and mashing up influences from pop, rock and dance combined with their high-energy live music keeps fans dancing all night long. Country music is the band’s first love; however, as music lovers and people pleasers, they will surprise you with something for everybody. Hillbilly Rockstarz is Chicagoland’s #1 country band playing all your favorite hits from yesterday and today. Touring since 2007, Hillbilly Rockstarz has something for every music fan in its set.

AUGUST 27: Brass Tracks Band

Brass Tracks Band is a high-energy eight-piece band featuring an amazing three-piece horn section. The band kicks off and ends the Tribute Show performing Chicago's greatest hits along with all of the iconic horn band hits of the 60's, 70's, 80's and beyond sandwiched in between. Imagine attending a concert featuring Chicago along with some of the greatest Horn Bands of all time playing only their top hits. From Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members Chicago to Multi- Platinum Award Winners Earth Wind & Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears, Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder and many more, this will truly be a show to remember. This is the exact show Brass Tracks Band performs night after night! Formed in 2013, Brass Tracks Band features a fast-paced, family-friendly show that appeals to a wide audience. The group has performed hundreds of shows.

Stubbs Park

Centerville Summer Concert Series is taking place at Stubbs Park, which is located at 255 W. Spring Valley Road in Centerville. Stubbs Park - Leonard E. Stubbs Memorial Park & Centerville Community Amphitheater is located west of S.R. 48 along the north side of W. Spring Valley Rd. next to the Centerville Police Building. Stubbs Park provides numerous amenities to the public including state-of-the-art playground equipment, basketball and tennis courts, and an inline skating rink.
