Canal Music Fest celebrates 10 years with two great bands!

The Tipp City Area Arts Council is gearing up to present a very special 10th Annual Canal Music Fest. This year’s event is presented by Edison State Community College and Thrivent Financial Associate Matt Buehrer, and will feature two bands. Taking the stage at 7:00 p.m., will be local favorite—“Stranger” featuring Tipp City’s own Zack Nelson. Our feature act, “Dogs of Society–The Ultimate Elton Rock Tribute” will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. The 2019 Canal Music Fest will be held on Saturday, June 8, at 7:00 p.m., at City Park, in Tipp City, Ohio. Food and beverages will be available beginning at 5:00 p.m. Vendors joining us this year include McNasty’s, Pa’s Pork, Raging Bull Wood Fired Pizza, Sam & Ethel’s, Susie’s Big Dipper and more.

Tribute band “Dogs of Society,” based out of St. Louis, Missouri is prepared to take us on a ride through one of the most epic rock catalogs of the 1970s with Elton John’s smash hits! From Bennie and the Jets and Crocodile Rock to deeper cuts like Funeral for a Friend and Madman Across the Water, the Dogs of Society deliver a dynamic live performance. Featuring an incredible lineup of accomplished musicians led by John Gore (aka Elton), the Dogs of Society will blow you away with their authentic rock ‘n roll tribute to one of the most celebrated musicians in rock history.

The Canal Music Fest is free and open to the public. 50/50 raffle tickets will be available for purchase. No coolers or backpacks permitted. Hit the “Yellow Brick Road” on June 8, with your chair or blanket, along with your family and friends, to the 10th Annual Canal Music Fest! You will find us in the park, north of the Tipp City Aquatic Center. Enter from Parkwood Drive, where free parking will be available.
