Try Something Exciting this holiday season...

Raku Christmas Tree Workshop

When: November 6 & 13, 2026

Time: Fridays 6-8pm

Cost: $85

Ages: 18+

Instructor: Nate Frank

Create your own unique Christmas tree to display this holiday season. This two week workshop will walk you through the steps of building your own rustic ceramic Christmas tree from scratch. Week One you build, decorate and design your trees. Week two you will glaze them with our special collection of unique raku glazes and participate in the exciting firing process of raku!

You will get to load your creations into our propane fueled top hat raku kiln, watch as pots reach 1900 degrees and be part of the process as we pull them, glowing orange from the kiln! The pots go straight into post firing reductions chamber filled with flammables where the magic of raku really happens. By the end of the second evening, all the pots will be finished and ready to go home with you!

Smoke, flame and fun, this workshop is great for anyone, even if they have never touched pottery before.

This workshop involves high temps and a lot of smoke. Masks will be provided, but students must make sure they are wearing close toed shoes and have hair covered or secured to participate in the firing. It is not recommended for anyone with severe asthma or smoke allergies. Students will not be handling the hot pots from the kiln directly.
