Party in the Park returns to Stubbs Park in 2023 with three exciting summer events

“Party in the Park keeps growing and we are expecting even bigger crowds this season. We will welcome some exciting new bands coming to the Stubbs Park Amphitheater for the first time,” said Centerville Community Resources Coordinator Drew Simon.  “The City takes pride in being able to offer great entertainment to our community.”

The free Friday family-friendly events are June 9, July 14 and August 11 starting at 5:30 p.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m.

Party in the Park is sponsored by the City of Centerville and the Heart of Centerville and Washington Twp.

Families can shop from more than 30 curated vendors, boutiques and area small businesses offering a unique variety of items, along with dining from food trucks. HOCWT will sell beer, wine, and liquor.

Kids activities also will be available for kids to enjoy throughout the park. #FillTheHill at 7:00 p.m. each night for a special concert featuring live music from some of the area’s biggest bands.

JUNE 9: The Naked Karate Girls

NKG Band makes all events an epic experience for everyone! With a cast of 12+ professional performer musicians, it's no wonder NKG is known as the Best Party in the Galaxy(TM).  Since 2008, NKG band has performed at more than 3,000 public events, private parties and weddings. NKG Band is consistently ranked #1 in readers’ polls.  

JULY 14: Stranger

Stranger is a Dayton, Ohio band that was formed in 1996. Recently, Stranger has opened for Hall & Oates, Chicago, Survivor, Rick Springfield (twice!), Loverboy, .38 Special (twice!), Starship and REO Speedwagon, plus dozens of festivals and special events all over Ohio. If you want to experience the 80’s like you are actually back in time, check out an upcoming Stranger show. See for yourself why they are referred to as “THE premiere 80’s band in Southwest Ohio and beyond!”

AUGUST 11: The Dave Matthews Tribute Band

Their name says it all: The Dave Matthews Tribute Band. For nearly 20 years, the band has been performing sold out shows around the world; playing over 1,500 dates in 46 states and 8 countries. Many go to their live shows with reservations, high expectations and the burning question, “Do these guys sound like the real Dave Matthews Band?” Almost always the answer is, “Yes!” Since 2004, The DMTB is the only nationally-touring tribute to the Dave Matthews Band. This 5-piece ensemble strives to pay homage to their famous counterparts by matching the excitement, energy, intensity and intimacy of a DMB live show. While most fans never witnessed the real band before they became the platinum-selling artists they are today, The Dave Matthews Tribute Band prides itself on giving audiences this opportunity at intimate venues around the world.

Stubbs Park

Party in the Park - Summer 2023 is taking place at Stubbs Park, which is located at 255 W. Spring Valley Road in Centerville. Stubbs Park - Leonard E. Stubbs Memorial Park & Centerville Community Amphitheater is located west of S.R. 48 along the north side of W. Spring Valley Rd. next to the Centerville Police Building.
