Ohio Apraxia Festival

The Apraxia Foundation is bringing the Apraxia Fall Festival to Ohio for an afternoon filled with community, celebration, advocacy, and family fun!

This special event will bring together children, teens, adults, families, professionals, advocates, and community supporters to celebrate individuals with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and raise awareness about the importance of access to appropriate communication services and supports.

Proceeds from the Apraxia Fall Festival will support the Apraxia Foundation’s mission to provide grants that help individuals and families access needed motor-based speech therapy services, communication supports, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.

Many families face financial, insurance, and geographic barriers that prevent them from receiving appropriate speech services or obtaining an AAC device. Funds raised through this event will help the Apraxia Foundation reduce those barriers and support individuals in accessing the tools and services they need to communicate.

Come Enjoy:

Food Vendors: Enjoy delicious food, snacks, drinks, and treats from local vendors throughout the event.

CAS Resources and Community Support: Families will have access to helpful Childhood Apraxia of Speech resources, educational materials, advocacy information, and support from local professionals and community organizations.

Apraxia Recognition Ceremony: We will take a special moment to recognize and celebrate children, teens, and adults with Childhood Apraxia of Speech. This ceremony will honor their strength, determination, communication, identities, voices, and individual journeys.

Family Activities and Community Fun: Families can enjoy an afternoon of activities, connection, entertainment, and opportunities to meet others who understand the CAS journey.

Connection and Belonging: The festival will create a welcoming space where individuals with apraxia and their families can build friendships, share experiences, find resources, and feel supported by their community.

Every registration, donation, sponsorship, and purchase made during the festival will help us move closer to a future where every person with apraxia has access to appropriate communication services and the ability to express themselves using the communication method that works best for them.

Dominick Lofino Park

Ohio Apraxia Festival is taking place at Dominick Lofino Park, which is located at 640 Grange Hall Road in Beavercreek. Dominick Lofino Park - This 36-acre park is located on Grange Hall Road, one mile north of Indian Ripple Road. It features a seven-acre lake, popular for fishing, four tennis courts, a large playground and sandbox, a picnic shelter, skate park, walking path and amphitheater overlooking the lake.
