Downtown Middletown Family Zoo
Looking for a free, fun & social distancing friendly, family activity? Hop,fly, swim or gallop your way downtown! Our very own children's artist, JellyDoodles, has provided us with 24 zoo animals that are exhibited in business storefronts. Drive downtown to see them all, or feel free to practice safe, social distancing and walk throughout downtown to see them up close & personal (we promise they won't bite).
**PLEASE NOTE - this event does NOT have any live animals on exhibit but plenty of adorable, family-friendly art work that kids of all ages will enjoy spotting in our downtown businesses**
Zoo will be "open" from Saturday 5/30- Saturday 6/13 and you can come and go as you please. If you would like free Zoo Safari Visors for your kiddos to explore the zoo in style (see below), please be sure to see the special times for pick up.
Similar to our Social Distancing Friendly Easter Egg Hunt this spring, we need your help finding 10 silly monkeys that have escaped their exhibit! Be sure to look for them as you check out the other animals. They are always getting into trouble, and don't forget, they are monkeys and like to climb so be sure to look UP! Be sure to fill out your form to be entered to win prizes! (info below)
And your final mission on the zoo safari, is to answer the Animal Trivia questions. Work together to finish the riddle & win prizes!
FREE SAFARI VISORS:
Thanks to our generous sponsors, kiddos will receive a free safari themed hat to wear while they spot animals downtown, while supplies last. Visors may be picked up during these hours at 1050 Central Ave (across from Governors Square):
SAT 5/30: 1-3PM
TUES 6/2: 4-6PM
THURS 6/4: 1-3PM
FRI 6/5: 4-6PM
SUN 6/7: 1-3PM
TUES 6/9: 4-6PM
THURS 6/11: 1-3PM

ZOO GUIDES:
A limited number of printed guides will be available during Zoo Safari Visor pick up hours above. Feel free to print the Animal, Scavenger Hunt and Animal Trivia pages yourself at home.
PRIZES:
Prizes include JellyDoodles Prize Packs, Grandpa Joe's Giftcards and even a kid's bike from Spoken Bicycles! There are 3 ways to be entered to win prizes:
1- Take a selfie downtown with your favorite zoo animal & post on the Downtown Middletown Inc facebook page
2- Find all the silly monkeys and fill out form & place in JUNGLE MAILBOX at 1050 Central Ave
3- Finish the Animal Trivia, fill out the form & Place in JUNGLE MAILBOX at 1050 Central Ave
ZOO COINS:
Be on the look out for some zoo coins hidden throughout our downtown. (Please limit one coin per person to allow other families a chance to find and enjoy).
