The Dayton Fire Department will host a community open house on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Fire Station 8 (2636 Stanley Ave, Dayton, OH 45404). The open house is a kick-off for Fire Prevention Week and an opportunity to meet Dayton firefighters and police officers. Families and all ages are encouraged to attend.
The event will feature Dayton Fire and Police Department equipment and an appearance by Careflight. Activities will include an auto extrication demonstration, bicycle helmet fitting and fire extinguisher demonstrations.
