The 38th Annual adidas Warrior Soccer Classic Tournament Kicks Off in Dayton Memorial Day weekend

The annual adidas Warrior Soccer Classic Tournament will take place in Greater Dayton this Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28. This prestigious youth soccer tournament, one of the larger tournaments in the country, will bring in over 4,000 athletes, and over 10,000 people including players, coaches, referees, family members and spectators.  According to Warrior Soccer Club President Chris Bess, the tournament, based on their sports Pulse Point platform calculator generates $2,592,000 in estimated economic impact in the community.

“We are proud and pleased to welcome the adidas Warrior Soccer Tournament, a nationally recognized amateur youth soccer tournament, back to our community this Memorial Day Weekend.  Approximately 300 teams from eight states will compete at two sites including:  the Warrior Soccer Complex, and Thomas Cloud Park.  Visitors to our community will fill area hotels, restaurants and retail outlets.  The dedicated commitment of Warrior Soccer Club President, Chris Bess, Tournament Director Steve Paddon, the Warrior Soccer Club, and the huge team of volunteers ‘behind the scenes’ have made this tournament the success it is.   As you see soccer players and families out and about in restaurants, hotels, and retail establishments this weekend, take a moment to thank them for coming to Dayton to play in the adidas Warrior Soccer Tournament.  And, if you’re looking for something to do, go to one of the tournament sites to check-out the action,” states Jacquelyn Y. Powell, President & CEO of the Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau.
