About Stephanie:

Stephanie Layne, owner and Herbalist of Thistle Bee Tea Co. can make one Hell of an herbal preparation, but Thistle Bee's roots run deeper than that. We are steeped strongly in research, passed down plant wisdom, exploration, and folk medicine. Stephanie has studied Herbalism for over a decade between mentors, herbal education programs, books, and practice, and in addition, she’s been immersed in grandma's cooking, home & hearth expertise, and Appalachian plant knowledge since birth.

At Thistle Bee we hold deep respect for the knowledge of our elders and the ones who came before us. We respect the land & plants that guide us and strive to live a more natural way of life. Growing up, Stephanie was fortunate enough to spend most of her time with the elders in the family. They taught her that eating well and educating oneself are important and that listening to your intuition is one of the most important skills you can hone. History, folk medicine, and self-sufficiency were unknowingly taught freely. She learned how to hunt for mushrooms by age 6, how to slaughter and clean a chicken by age 10, and was helping make sweet tea almost as soon as she could walk. They grew and preserved food, cooked at home, made their own medicines, and took time to sit and visit with nature. She was learning self-sufficiency and ancestral knowledge from the get-go. Now, it's her turn to help others explore plant medicine, develop their own intuition & ancestral skills, and live a more natural and ancestral-inspired life.

If you're longing for a stronger connection to the Earth, connection to your ancestors, or for something that lights a fire in your spirit -- let's regenerate your roots together.
