Summer Moon Festival

Visit Wapakoneta and celebrate our heritage at The Summer Moon Festival

Celebrate the anniversary of Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum.

UPDATE 7/8/2020 In order to comply with the extention of Ohio's original health order that went into effect today, July 8th, some of our events have been modified. We are sad to announce our downtown live music concerts, car show and antique tractor show are cancelled. We held on to hope and explored every possible option. We understand that many will be disappointed......, BUT YOU CAN’T KEEP A GOOD TOWN DOWN! We still have many enjoyable activities planned for next week including the amazing downtown Moon Market, beer, food trucks, RC Fun Run, special programming at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum, the YMCA Virtual Bike Tour, the Run to the Moon 10k, 5k and 1mile race as well as the Wapakoneta by Moonlight kickoff event on July 14th. We ask for your continued support and invite you to join us in celebrating the 51st Anniversary of those first steps on the moon in Neil Armstrong’s home town.

The Summer Moon Festival is organized by the Festival Committee of the Wapakoneta Chamber of Commerce with the participation of the Armstrong Air & Space Museum.
