Space Celebration at the Air Force Museum
Space Celebration – July 30 - Aug. 7, 2022
Come see a Lunar Rover Vehicle, special aircraft look-ins, model rocket launches, Space-Themed trivia, Star Wars costumed characters and SO much more during "Space Celebration" week at the Air Force Museum!
Here are some of the activities planned during select days:
- Your favorite characters from the Big Screen come to life as the 501st Legion in Star Wars-themed costumes will be in the museum!
- Special Presentation on the Titan IVB by Col. (Retired) Elena Oberg
- Open Aircraft, C-119J Flying Boxcar "Satellite Catcher"
- Open Aircraft, X-1B
- Get a glimpse of rarely seen space artifacts, presented by the Museum's Collections Division
- Space-themed Balloon Twisters
- Bounce, Jump and Reach for the Stars on the Stargaze Bounce House
- "Shoot for the Moon" Ping Pong Ball Shootout
- Get a glimpse of rarely seen space artifacts, presented by the Museum's Collections Division
- Lunar Rover Vehicle Display by the Armstrong Air and Space Museum
- Wright Stuff Rocketeers Rocket Build and Launch
- Jeopardy-Style Quiz "The Challenges of Space"
- Star-gazing to view planets, stars, galaxies, the moon and more
- Jeopardy-Style Quiz "The Challenges of Space"
And don't forget to get your Space Ice Cream (Dippin' Dots) in the 3rd Building Snack Shack!
