Peerless Mill Fire's 17th Anniversary

Star City Brewing Company will welcome guests to a commemoration of the 17th anniversary of the Peerless Mill fire on Friday, January 24th beginning at 4:00pm. The event will feature special beer tappings and hot pepper beer infusions from Miamisburg’s Big Axe Spices. Ten percent of the night’s sales will be donated to the local Miamisburg Fire Department.

 

“Repeated fires at Peerless Mill certainly took their toll, but they couldn’t burn away the significance of the site to Miamisburg residents,” said Star City Brewing Company Owner Justin Kohnen. “If anything, this is just as much a celebration of our community’s resilience as it is a remembrance of the fire itself.”

 

The event will include a special tapping of Star City’s Pozar 125 Smoke Wheat beer. Additionally, Miamisburg’s own Big Axe Spice Salt Free Seasonings will provide five different hot pepper beer infusions. Star City is also inviting customers to pay it forward for their local firefighters. Anyone can visit the brewery before January 24th to donate $5, then Star City will donate an extra $2 to buy any beer or wine for local firefighters on the day of the event.
