Monday Music Fest with Vernon & Kitty McIntyre

Vernon and Kitty McIntyre of Cincinnati have been a team since the early 1980s. Vernon’s professional career began in 1960 when as a 15 year-old he played the banjo for Earl Taylor and the Stoney Mountain Boys. Early in the 1970s he formed his own group, the Appalachian Grass. Kitty was introduced to the group by her brother and it wasn’t long before she fell in love with bluegrass music and Vernon and officially joined the group with her fiddle in hand.
