iDream Stage Play and Information Technology Career Symposium
The event includes the stage play iDream followed by a career panel offering a question and answer conversation with technology professionals. In addition, the event will include local colleges and companies available to share their information.
THE PLAY, iDream is an original play, produced to tackle the ongoing issue of women being significantly underrepresented in technological fields such as information technology (IT). The characters embody the struggles of those who are marginalized in the IT field by virtue of gender, ethnicity, or socio-economic status, but who seek inclusion and equality in the information society.
THE SYMPOSIUM, presented in professional panel format offers the opportunity to discuss information about careers in the field of information technology. The goal is to engage youth while introducing participants to prospects in the IT field.
THE PROJECT TEAM, Hope Road Organization is local non-profit 501c3 youth organization helping youth discover direction and development.
