The reasons are legion - lifelike animation, unforgettable stories and characters, adroit storytelling, and wondrous music that stays in our hearts and minds long after the images fade from the screen. In Disney in Concert: Magical Music from the Movies, you’ll experience both the music and excerpts from the films for which it was composed.

Scenes from Disney films will project above the stage of the Schuster Center while the DPO and four leading vocalists perform the music that Mouseketeers of all ages know so very well. There are individual songs, such as "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas, "I Wan’na Be Like You" from The Jungle Book, "It's a Small World," and a Mary Poppins medley, as well as orchestral suites from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid.  

Providing the vocals are four of America’s most talented performers. Andrew Johnson has performed in such productions as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, and Pippin. Whitney Claire Kaufman has performed on the stage in Mamma Mia!, Cabaret, and Marisol. A child soloist for Disney, Candice Nicole has performed in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Footloose, 1776, The Wizard of Oz, Grease, and Peter Pan. An Ovation Award–nominated actor and singer, Aaron Phillips has performed in The New Hopeville Comics, Jekyll and Hyde, Batboy: The Musical, Songs for a New World, and Les Misérables.

The Schuster Center - Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center - providing a world-class facility for the best in local, national and international performing artists. Can accommodate up to 2,300 for meetings or 500 banquets.
