The City of Centerville and Centerville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9550 are saluting those who protect, preserve and maintain our freedom.
The City of Centerville is proud to be home to so many men and women who served our country. Every year, we honor them in many ways: our designation as a Purple Heart City, the Veterans Memorial at Stubbs Park with the veterans’ brick walkway, our Memorial Day Ceremony and – of course—the Americana Festival. Our proud traditions include the Veterans Day Ceremony, where we invite community members to celebrate some of our country’s bravest.
All veterans will be honored at Centerville’s Veterans Day Ceremony, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial at Stubbs Park, 255 West Spring Valley Pike.
The program includes color guard presentations from Centerville VFW Post 9550, Centerville Police Department and Washington Township Fire Department Honor Guards and remarks from Centerville Mayor Brooks Compton.
The keynote address will be given by Col. Ariel Batungbacal, Commander of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Other features include musical performances by the Centerville Community Band and a wreath laying ceremony.
