More than 85,000 people attend the Americana Festival each year for our 5K Run, Street Fair, and Independence Day Parade!
The Centerville-Washington Township Americana Festival started in 1972 as a sidewalk sale promoted by the city's downtown merchants. This year, more than 85,000 people will attend the festival and more than 100 volunteers will be working behind the scenes to make it all happen. Note the fireworks show is July 3rd.
July 3rd - Fireworks!
Centerville's Fourth of July Fireworks will be on July 3rd, the night BEFORE the Festival at the Centerville High School Stadium, 500 E. Franklin Street.
July 4th Americana Festival
5K Run: 6:30 a.m. Centerville High School Stadium, East Franklin Street
Americana Parade: 10 a.m.
The Parade begins at 10:00am on East Franklin Street, west of Centerville High School, proceeds West to Uptown Centerville, and turns South onto Main Street, ending at Tuxworth Road. Showcasing more than 120 units, the parade features numerous bands, floats, and numerous mobile and walking units.
Street Fair: 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Featuring 300 craft and food booths, artists, musical entertainment and a children’s game and activity area, the Street Fair also showcases staged and strolling performers.
July 4th Schedule:
- 6:30 AM: 5K Run Check-in Opens
- 7:00 AM: No Vehicle Access to Centerville High School After This Time
- 7:30 am: 5k Run Shotgun Start at Centerville High School Stadium
- 8:15 AM: 5K Awards Ceremony
- 9:00 AM: Auto Show Registration Begins
- 9:30 AM: Festival Opens: Vendors, Crafts & Food
- 10:00 AM: Americana Parade Begins on East Franklin Street
- 11:00 AM: Auto Show Registration Closes
- 3:00 PM: Auto Show Awards & Door Prizes
- 5:00 PM: Festival Concludes
- 6:00 PM: Streets Reopen (W. Franklin & N. Main)
