2026 Rail Festival at Carillon Park
🚂 Carillon Historical Park’s Rail Festival is a two-day family fun event featuring free miniature train rides, live steam engines, model train displays, historical displays, indoor carousel rides, train merchandise, rail vendors, and much more!
Dayton History and Carillon Park Rail & Steam Society present the Annual Rail Festival at Carillon Park Saturday, June 27, from 9:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 28, from 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Carillon Historical Park is home to the nation's oldest-existing American-built locomotive; B&O #1, John Quincy Adams; an opulent 1903 Barney & Smith wooden parlor car, an interurban, a 1923 caboose, and much more. The Park's picturesque 65-acre campus provides the perfect backdrop for Rail Festival, and is a perfect complement to Carillon Historical Park’s rail-themed artifacts, many of which are located in the James F. Dicke Family Transportation Center.
This two-day rail-themed event also features rides on the popular full-sized Carillon Park Railroad, miniature train rides, steam engines, model train displays from tiny N-track cars to elaborate G-gauge garden models, historical displays, rail vendors, unique railroad merchandise, indoor carousel rides, Carillon Park Concert Band performances, and more. Fun for all ages!
Regular admission fees apply. FREE to Dayton History members.
