Book Signing with Author Kathleen Smythe at 2nd Street Market
Author Kathleen Smythe will be at the Market from 11 am to 2 pm to sign copies of her book, Bicycling Through Dayton: 21 Historical Rides. Then at 2 pm, after the signing, Kathleen will lead a leisurely bike ride through downtown Dayton to enjoy some of the highlights in her book. Riders can meet at the far east end of the Market in the concrete area next to the large handicap ramp into the building. The bike ride is about 90 minutes and the mostly flat ride is 9.3 miles. The author will begin with an overview of the book and discuss three chapters from the book and then will interpret briefly at each stop the noted historical contribution of the site.
