Experience the golden age of aviation at the Springfield airport.
Barnstorming of the 1920's and 1930's was by far one of the most important era's to the world of aviation. Pilots flew their open cockpit aircraft all over the countryside of the United States and introduced our communities to the airplane and the sky. Pilots traveled from town to town offering airplane rides and putting on airshows were called barnstormers. Once they sold enough rides in the town, they would pack up and move to the next town for more barnstorming. This is your chance to see real modern day barnstormers and there beautifully restored aircraft travel through the Ohio valley area.
