Arts in the Park
Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, in partnership with Planned2Give, the Dayton Metro Library, and Woodland Cemetery will host Arts in the Park – the third installment of the Dunbar 150 project.
Arts in the Park will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 12 noon until 4 pm at Oak & Ivy Park in the historic Wright-Dunbar neighborhood. Activities will include painting stations, stencil and rubbing stations, a selfie station, live music, a kids’ play and sidewalk chalk area, food trucks, park ranger-led interpretive programs, and the opportunity to earn a Junior Ranger badge.
This event is free, and open to the public. There is plenty of free parking at Oak & Ivy Park. In the event of rain, Arts in the Park will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
The Dunbar 150 project was created to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Dayton’s own critically acclaimed African American poet and author, Paul Laurence Dunbar’s birth. This multi-year project will feature a variety of public events and activities between now and February 2023.
