Dayton History is Montgomery County's official historical organization.

Consisting of Carillon Historical Park, the Archive Center, Hawthorn Hill, Patterson Homestead, and the Old Court House, Dayton History brings the past to life to understand the present and inspire the future. 

Dayton History is also home to: 

  • Culp's Cafe, a one-of-a-kind eatery honors the soda fountains and lunch counters that once dotted Dayton in the early 1900s. Calzada’s Kitchen is our exclusive food partner!
  • Carillon Brewing Co., the nation’s only production brewery located in a museum and the only U.S. brewery that fully replicates the historic brewing process. Dayton Barbeque Company is our exclusive food partner!

Park admission is not required to dine at Culp’s Café or Carillon Brewing Co.

Dayton History also operates three National Park Service sites, including the Wright Brothers National Museum and Hawthorn Hill, Orville Wright’s success mansion..
