    The Son of SLAVE is the rebirth of funk representing Ohio music. The Son of SLAVE is Mark L. Akridge, bass guitarist, singer, songwriter, and the oldest son of the late great Mark Adams of the Funk group “SLAVE”.

    About the venue:

    All concerts in the 2023 Eichelberger Concert Season at the Levitt Pavilion Dayton are free and open to the public, no ticket or RSVP necessary.

    All concerts begin at 7PM.

    You can bring in lawn chairs or blankets as well as outside food and beverage – including alcohol (just no glass). You can also rent lawn chairs for a $5 donation on site and there are food and beverage vendors on site as well.

    Levitt Dayton is a non-profit organization that fosters a sense of community by providing free outdoor concerts in the heart of downtown Dayton. The organization firmly believes that music can bridge cultural divides and bring people together, and their concerts are a testament to this belief.
