Kettering Civic Band - More Concert Information
Come celebrate the spring with us with an evening of wonderful band music. This concert will have a variety of music, including works by John Philip Sousa, Rossano Galante, Aaron Copland, and Edward Gregson. You will experience several patriotic charts in anticipation of our country's 250th anniversary, from upbeat marches to the sweeping majesty of America the Beautiful. Two powerful pieces - The Sword and the Crown, and Monarch - evoke imagery of great battles and past kings of Great Britain. Crown is a bombastic piece that features a dueling timpani battle in the third movement. Monarch is a new original piece written and conducted by our very own Brendon Sapp. This concert is one you won't want to miss! It is free and family-friendly. Seating is general admission. The Kettering Civic Band is grateful for continued financial support from the City of Kettering Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department, Rosewood Arts Center, Corcovado Foundation, and individual donors.
