Centerville to host another eclipse glasses giveaway event
The city of Centerville will give out 2,500 solar eclipse glasses during giveaway event, ahead of the solar eclipse on April 8.

City of Centerville to host eclipse glasses giveaway event
Interest in eclipse glasses has exceeded our expectations! To accommodate for safety and accessibility, the City of Centerville will hold one consolidated solar eclipse glasses giveaway at Cornerstone Park, 5210 Cornerstone N. Blvd.
The City will have 2,500 pairs of solar eclipse glasses available for free on Friday, March 15 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
“Public safety is of utmost importance when the City plans events for the community,” said Community Resources Coordinator Drew Simon. “We anticipate a large crowd. We are planning for plenty of parking and easy access so every can safely and conveniently get to our giveaway.”
City staff will distribute beginning at 3:00 p.m. to those waiting in line. Each person will receive one ticket, and you must have a ticket to receive a pair of glasses. You do not have to be a Centerville resident to receive a pair of glasses.
