Students will learn the history of the pysanky craft. Students learn how to apply wax to the eggshell and dye the eggs in stages, working from lightest dyes to darkest.

Pysanky Workshop
Students will learn the history of the pysanky craft, the symbols commonly used and their meanings, and watch a thorough demonstration. Students learn how to apply wax to the eggshell and dye the eggs in stages, working from lightest dyes to darkest. When the entire process is complete a hanger is added to make an ornament.
