Sewing Technique Hemming

Most people have to hem their clothing to ensure it fits correctly. Hemming has gotten expensive if you need to have items fixed constantly. Since I also am a shorty and have to hem my pants, I wanted to show you how easy it is!

I love teaching and helping people save money, so I have put together this class on techniques.

This class will teach you how to properly use the basic topstitch and blind hem. Both are the most commonly used hems in today’s garments!

Meanwhile, my first year of junior high was the last year our local school offered Home Economics. That means they stopped teaching essential life skills, such as sewing.

Prerequisite: Sewing Basics Group class (or equal skill; must know how to change needles, change stitches, and change needles on the machine) or Sewing 101 as a Private Lesson.

Skill level: Beginner - Comfortable on a sewing machine

Ages: 15+
