Craft Cocktails on Tap Coming Soon to Toxic Brew

Toxic Brew Company will be installing 20 new draft lines in the next month, doubling the downtown brewery’s already plentiful on-tap offerings. It will be more than just Toxic’s craft brews flowing through these new drafts though, as they plan to introduce craft cocktails on tap.

“Draft cocktails are a new trend that we’re eager to bring to Dayton,” said Shane Juhl, owner. “Beyond being a national trend, many of our neighbors in the Oregon District have been doing a great job with creative cocktails. We’re excited to be a part of that while bringing it to the public in a new way.”

“The release of the concept will be phased. Toxic already has guest taps flowing, including a cider for the gluten free folks and a beer from our head brewer's solo project ‘Nowhere in Particular’,said Juhl. “The next phase will be the introduction of craft cocktails on our existing 20 taps by Feb 2nd, just in time for the Ohio Craft Brewer's Conference that is being held at the Dayton convention center this year, Feb 3rd-5th. The additional taps will be installed later and the final design of the taps will be a collaboration between toxic and local wood sculptor Shon Walters from Eccentric Wood.” he continued.

While Toxic Brew Co. management said they were excited to be bringing classic cocktails on tap such as Manhattans, Margaritas, and Dirty Martinis, they said that some of the lines would also be used to expand their craft soda offering and to also bring wine on tap.

“We’ll have a number of classic cocktails, for sure,” Juhl said. “But as with our beers, you can expect a few things you may not have thought of before. Dayton is a city of inventors, after all.”
