Best of Ohio 2016Market featured for third consecutive year in Ohio Magazine’s January 2016 issue.

The 2nd Street Market, 600 E. Second St., Dayton, has again been voted the Best Farmer's Market on the 2016 Best of Ohio Readers' Ballot from Ohio Magazine.

The list of winners was generated by votes cast by Ohio Magazine's website visitors over the course of three weeks this past fall.

“Here in Dayton, we know the 2nd Street Market is a great place to grab lunch and shop for fresh, local produce and hand-crafted merchandise,” said Market Manager Jimmy Harless. “It’s an honor to receive that kind of recognition from people throughout the state and beyond. We think the Market really has made a name for itself as a local food hub, a place where people come for a feel of community and a Dayton destination. People often bring out-of-town guests to the Market to show off the many things our city offers.”

The 2016 Best of Ohio Readers’ Ballot showcases 50 winners in multiple categories. Locally, Esther Price nabbed the top slot for Ohio-made candy, Boston Stoker Coffee Co. was named best coffee shop/roaster and the best food truck went to Zombie Dogz Gourmet Hot Dogs.
