Gold Star Father Joins Wounded Warrior Softball Golf Outing

The Dayton Warriors Softball Fund, the all-volunteer host organization since 2016 for the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Team appearances at Wright State University, is hosting Rob Vande Zande, Fondu Lac, WI, USA Patriots amputee player and Gold Star parent in the 5th Annual Wounded Warrior Softball golf outing at Locust Hills Golf Cub on Sunday, 17 July.

This is a unique and fun opportunity for golfers who support veteran organizations to meet Rob, hear about the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Team, and support Dayton-area veteran organizations like Fisher House (WPAFB & Dayton VA) and Honor Flight-Dayton.

The USA Patriots will not be coming to the Dayton area in 2022 but look to make a return in 2023.  In preparation for their visit next year, two golf outings will be offered to help raise funds for hosting:  Sunday, 17 July, at Locust Hills Golf Club, just south of Springfield, and Friday, 30 September, at Beavercreek Golf Club.

Entry for the first outing on 17 July is $90/player and includes greens fees, cart, coffee & donuts, lunch, and prizes.

For more information or an entry packet to enter this outing, please send e-mail to: dayton_softball@hotmail.com.
