DH4 #1562 "Fall Shigfest" (Run/Walk)

Date: Saturday, November 11, 2023
Time: 3 pm  (Note: We will start on time, since darkness in the park comes early.)

Location: John Bryan State Park, 3790 OH-370, Yellow Springs, OH 45387.
Once you enter the park follow the signs to the Mountain Bike Trail parking lot.

Cost: $8 for beer drinkers; otherwise, $4. Free for first time hashers!

Hash Trail: What a great park to hash!!! Expect beautiful Fall scenery!  This is a fun run or hike where you will follow a trail of flour not knowing exactly where it will lead. Trail length of ~3.5 miles. The route primarily stays on park trails, but we'll get into the woods for sure! There will be hills, huge boulders, and almost no pavement. You don't want to miss this one!!!

Dogs: Allowed on a leash in the park, but not at the On-After. Must be friendly to people and other dogs.

Children:  Adults only for first time hashers, since many of us do drink beer. ?? Not recommended for young children due to the hilly and wooded terrain.

On-After:  Two options:

Option A: If it isn't too busy we'll go to the famous "Ye Olde Trail Tavern". 228 Xenia Ave, Yellow Springs, OH 45387

Option B: Trail Town Brewing: 101 Corry St, Yellow Springs, OH 45387. They have excellent tacos and beer!

Things to bring/wear:
+ Whistle you never blow
+ Change of clothes and shoes

+ Camping chair for circle
