The Adventure Color Gap: Diversity in the Great Outdoors

Panel Members include:

Quatez Scott, Panel Moderator
Quatez is the Intercultural Specialist of the Bolinga Black Cultural Resources Center at Wright State University. He previously served as director of diversity and inclusion at Mercy College of Ohio. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses, including Diversity Leadership and Introduction to Africana Studies at The University of Toledo. Nailah Blades Wylie, Panelist
Nailah is the founder of Color Outside, a coaching practice for ambitious women of color who are ready to create unapologetic, soul stirring lives through outdoor adventure, as a safe place for women of color to come together and unlock where they're feeling stuck so that they can fully step into their joy and shine. When she's not leading adventure retreats or consulting with brands you can find her hiking with her husband or playing intense games of hide-n-go seek with her two tiny kids.

Juan M. Muñoz Jiménez , Panelist
Juan spent his youth in Dayton, Ohio, and Arecibo, Puerto Rico. His first real introduction to the outdoors was kayaking in Puerto Rico with his father. In graduate school Juan developed and led adventure programs with the Outdoor Resource Center at Wright State University. His programs there included ice climbing, rock climbing, kayaking and snorkeling. After completing his MBA in marketing and international business at Wright State, Juan followed his love of the outdoors to the Southwest United States where he leads Latino youth into the outdoors, impressing upon them an awareness that these places are for everyone to care for and enjoy.
