Five Rivers MetroParks - Dayton
Five Rivers MetroParks was established in 1963 to preserve and protect open space and natural areas for the citizens of Montgomery County. Today over 15,000 acres of forests, grasslands, farmlands and wetlands have been protected. Supported by funding from the park levy and grants, Five Rivers MetroParks is able to continue conservation efforts to preserve high quality natural areas for today’s residents and future generations.
Reserve A Shelter
Open-air shelters make excellent settings for functions – from casual barbecues to wedding receptions, from birthday parties to family reunions.
Shelters are located in beautiful, natural settings and come with tables and mowed play areas. Some include electricity, water, grills and other amenities. Most shelters accommodate 35 people; several are much larger. All are ranger-patrolled, quiet and designed to offer a degree of privacy. By making advanced reservations, your group will be guaranteed use of the site. Reserve A Shelter
Get Out And Camp!
Five Rivers MetroParks welcomes groups, families or individuals to explore their wild side with camping in the parks.
Camping is a great way to experience nature at dawn, dusk and even after dark. With built-in activities such as fishing, paddling, hiking and backpacking, camping in your MetroParks offers a way to get away from it all just minutes from your door. Both frontcountry and backcountry tent camping sites are available and have recently been updated with site improvements such as new picnic tables, fire rings and firewood boxes. Reserve A Campsite
