Wright-Patterson Fireworks 2013

June 28, 2013 - gates open at 7 p.m., fireworks beginning at 10 p.m.

Although the Tattoo was cancelled, Wright-Patterson will join with our friends in the community to celebrate with fireworks!

An 18-minute fireworks display will light up the sky on the grounds of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.  Base officials encourage families to arrive early, set up their chairs or blankets around their vehicles and enjoy a relaxing evening leading up to the fireworks.

Public and guests without proper base identification can enter the grounds through one of three gates: the Air Force Museum Gate, located on Springfield Pike in front of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force; the Spinning Road Gate, located at the intersection of Spinning Road and Airway Road; or the Armory Gate, located on Harshman Road between Springfield Pike and Airway Road. These gates will open at 7 p.m. Attendees with proper base identification can enter the base via Gate 19B off National Road and Gate 22B off Colonel Glenn Highway.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES:
With the absence of concessions available for purchase, attendees can bring their own food and beverages onto the grounds.

*** The base will provide a limited number of portable toilets.  In addition, attendees are asked to assist in the upkeep of the Air Force Museum grounds by cleaning up after themselves.

For security and safety reasons, visitors cannot bring the following items onto the grounds:

***** NO Glass bottles of any kind

***** NO Charcoal, gas or hibachi grills

***** NO Knives or weapons of any kind to include pepper spray and guns (regardless of whether you have a concealed carry permit)

***** NO Pets

***** NO illegal substances

Base officials remind all visitors that the Air Force Museum and its grounds are part of a federal installation. Necessary precautions will be taken to ensure those attending are able to enjoy the fireworks in a safe and secure environment.
