FREE admission - held on the grounds of the Iams Homestead Museum in Trotwood.
Pioneer Harvest Fest this year has been moved to the first Saturday in October instead of the second Saturday. This year's Pioneer Harvest Fest will be held October 7th from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Imagine a perfect warm autumn day with the smell of chili cooking over an open fire; hot dogs grilled over the same fire just the way you like it; apple butter cooking over its own open fire and the smell of just harvested corn. Friends, it doesn’t get any better than this.
Take a tour of the Iams Homestead Museum and see all the items on display. Don’t miss touring the 1854 barn where you will find antique tools of all kinds and other display yet to be determined. Also visit our 1929 Trotwood Travel Trailer Display on the grounds of the Iams Homestead.
For past harvest fests, the Trotwood Fire Department has brought their 1928 Ahrens Fox fire engine and other active fire trucks and rescue equipment. We will have an interactive blacksmith demonstration. Of course, we will also have the usual displays of antique tractors, cars, husker shredder demonstration; corn harvesting using a corn binder; buzz saw demonstration; hayrides and many other activities too numerous to mention.
