Easter Eggstravaganza @ Southwest Church

On Saturday, March 31st, the recreational field behind the Coffman Family YMCA in Springboro will turn into a giant Easter Egg Scramble with more than 10,000 candy filled plastic Easter Eggs. This FREE Easter Egg Hunt open to the entire community is sponsored by Southwest Church and the Coffman Family YMCA. Crafts, activities, games, and refreshments will begin at 11:00 am in the back gym of the YMCA with the actual Egg Hunt taking place around noon.

Parents can pre-register their children (up to 4th Grade) for the Easter Eggstravaganza by picking up a registration form /coloring contest form at any of the three locations: Southwest Church (150 Remick Blvd., Springboro); Coffman Family YMCA (88 Remick Blvd., Springboro); and the Springboro IGA. Parents can also register their children on the day of the Eggstravaganza at the YMCA, and yet pre-registration is strongly encouraged to avoid long lines and delays.

In addition to prizes for the game participants there will be four age appropriate coloring contest prizes awarded on Saturday prior to the Egg Hunt/Scramble. For the safety of the younger children the Egg Hunt/Scramble will be organized into the following age appropriate areas: Under 2 Years Old; 2 - 3 Year Olds; 4 Year Olds - Kindergarten; 1st - 4th Grade Students.

Crystal Gruss, who is a volunteer at Southwest Church, is helping organize this year's event. Gruss, who is the mother of four children, said, "I love seeing all of the smiles of these young children as they enjoy this special day!" Southwest Church, which has recently moved into their new Worship and Community Center next to the YMCA, has as one of its core values to serve the surrounding community.
