Centerville's One Stop Shop for Accessories

When I first stepped into ZebraGirl Boutique in Centerville, I knew this place was one of a kind. I was greeted by the storeowner, Natasha Scherief, who instantly sized up my personal style in what felt like nanoseconds. She was pulling scarves, necklaces and handbags that perfectly fit my style. Being a fashion-obsessed shopper, I have been in plenty of boutiques and I have to say, this one is a step above the rest.

Not only does Scherief offer unique pieces to add to your accessory collection, the customer service experience you get as soon as you step through the door is unparalleled. This is one of those boutiques where the owner knows her customers by name and knows how to shop for not just them, but for their friends and family too.

Zebra Girl - CentervilleLocated on N. Main Street in downtown Centerville across from Incarnation Church, Zebra Girl is nestled in small building that is filled with most every woman's (and some men) favorite part of fashion; the accessories. From scarves to keep you warm during the winter months to unique jewelry made by local designers, ZebraGirl is a one-stop shop with a vivacious owner who loves to act as your personal stylist.

Scherief started ZebraGirl as an online store only to gain customers and save money for a brick and mortar store. Living in Centerville, Scherief was familiar with the area and the building she would later call home for her business.

"I always thought it was a great location because the parking is easy to get into to. When it became available, I just checked it out and I knew this was it," says Scherief. "This is a great small space to start and see how it grows, and so far it's been wonderful."

Today, Scherief gets a wide variety of customers into her shop that are either looking for that perfect accessory to match an outfit, or shopping for a special gift for their friend. She loves when customers come with items purchased from a different boutique and ask her to help them "jazz up" the outfit with a statement necklace or scarf.

From custom necklaces designed by local jewelers to unique handbags, ZebraGirl offers it all. Some of Scherief's most popular sellers are patchwork handbags by Sarabella James and a line of magnetic rings and accessories called Lotti Dotties, that allow buyers to interchange various stones of all different colors. Her newest item Aquiesse candles, which are soy based and come with their own matches, offer great holiday gift ideas.

Scherief prides her store on offering realistic prices for one-of-a-kind products that lets customers try on all the jewelry and accessories in the store.

"I want my customers to get out of their comfort zone and to get a little creative with their accessories," says Scherief. "I love when women play in jewelry."

By the end of my visit at ZebraGirl, I felt like a kid in a candy store. I had successfully tried on nearly everything in the store all while discussing everything from fashion to the weather with Scherief. It's impossible to come to this store and not have a great time while you shop.

If you are looking for a fun place with quality products and a built-in personal shopper to help you find your inner zebra, this boutique is the place to go.
